I clearly remember, when I was quite young, realizing that Christianity came after Jesus supposedly walked the earth.

It was mind-blowing.

I began to see that the stimulus response dynamic occurs even in religion... that you have the stimulus of a man and his teachings, then you have the response which is eventually a world religion. 

And that they don't necessarily have anything to do with each other was the most eye-opening revelation for me.

This is okay. Just because a religion isn't divine doesn't mean it's not worthy of attention. 

But it's important, when we progress spiritually, that we take such insights and actually apply them, allowing them to change our thinking, our conditioning, and our relationship to our inherited and preferred religion.

It might get you in trouble. But it also gets you free!
